Chiswick is a pleasant suburban area situated some seven miles to the west of the City of London. It is bounded by the River Thames to the south, Hammersmith to the east, Brentford to the west and Acton and Ealing to the north. It offers easy access to central London and to Heathrow airport in the west via the M4 motorway.
Chiswick has a diverse range of residential properties ranging from substantial Georgian houses on the River Thames at Chiswick Mall to modern contemporary developments.
Bedford Park, the first garden suburb, was developed in the 1870’s and has many attractive Queen Anne revival style houses situated in tree-lined streets. To the south in the Grove Park area are the open spaces of Chiswick House and grounds.
There are pleasant walks along the river towpaths past historic public houses at Strand-on-the-Green.
